Daniel B. Stark & Company is of one of the managed futures industry’s oldest and most prominent data base and research firms. Daniel B. Stark, Founder of Stark & Company and research consultant to our affiliate Price Asset Management, has 25 years of futures experience beginning as a local floor trader at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. In 1987 Mr. Stark acquired the rights to the Norwood Index, which began tracking 9 commodity futures funds in October 1978. Today, this index tracks the performance of approximately 175 futures funds worldwide and is the oldest continuously published index on managed futures investments.

In 1989 Mr. Stark began publishing a quarterly CTA performance report which at the time was the first and only industry publication to include CTA performance charts. Today this report also includes charts on assets under management, net cumulative profits, performance momentum, and linear regression. Entitled the STAR 300 this report focuses on the top 300 traders from the 400 plus traders making up the Stark & Company database.
