Rogers International Commodity Index ® Committee
Announces Change in Allocation to Certain Commodities in the Calculation of the Index
The Committee governing the Rogers International Commodity Index ® has made the following changes in the commodity allocation percentages. All new weightings will be for the January 2009 roll.
The previous weight of Cotton was 4.05%. The weight has been raised to 4.20%.
The previous weight of Soybeans was 3.25%. The weight has been raised to 3.35%.
The previous weight of Soybean Oil was 2.00%. The new weight has been raised to 2.17%.
The previous weight of Azuki Red Beans was 0.25%. The new weight has been lowered to 0.15%.
The previous weight of Barley was 0.27%. The new weight has been lowered to 0.10%.
The previous weight of Greasy Wool was 0.25%. The new weight has been lowered to 0.10%.
The Committee has modified the roll matrix and those changes are in the updated rulebook.
The modification will take place on the January 2009 roll which begins on the second to the last business day of January.
